Movie: Source Code (2011)

Source Code (2011)
http://www.enterthesourcecode.com/#/gallery/

I caught the poster of a movie called Source Code one day as I was strolling through the cinema level 'Make Every Second Count'. It caught my attention and I felt that it was a good one to catch. Neither have I read the synopsys nor have I caught the trailer but I just wanted to watch it. Well, today I got myself a double ticket - for a pal and myself. It was only played in the Premiere Class. Just what I needed. A good movie with a good seat and service...and yea... indeed it was totally a good movie. Good enough till I need to brag about this movie in my blog and get others to catch it.

A Quickie about SOURCE CODE

Russell Peters - Michelle Monahan - Jake Gyllenhaal
When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack. Over and over he soon falls in love with a Christina (Michelle Monahan). But Source Code reads that Stevens will feel the character of a man's identity only and is not an actual time travel machine that will enable Stevens to change things. He is feeling the character of the man who died with Christina in the train that exploded. So much for love and despair - Source Code is filled with mind-boggling twists and heart-pounding suspense, Source Code is a smart action-thriller directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) also starring Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye, Due Date), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Departed), and Jeffrey Wright (Quantum of Solace, Syriana).

He asks her what she would do if she had less than a minute to live and she tells him she doesn’t know. He tells Christina he would tell his father that he loves him and wishes they had left each other on better terms. The bomb explodes with her telling him that it will all be ok.

Spoiler (ending) happy yet sad
He gets her thinking and asks that she let him in for one last shot. It’s only 8 minutes. Goodwin agrees and tells him that at the end of the 8 minutes, his life support will be turned off - with Rutledge’s support or without.

Stevens is on the train for the final time. He prevents the woman from spilling her drink and tells Christina that she’d be so much better without Bryan and that they should grab coffee as soon as he is done “saving the world.” He asks her to wait for him and she agrees. Stevens races into the bathroom and deactivates the first phone. He looks for a second one and finds it on the other side of the bomb. He pulls the wire out, diffusing it successfully. He then walks up to the conductor and bumps into him, lifting the handcuffs off of him in the process. He goes straight for Derek Frost as Derek leaves his seat and pulls Derek’s hidden gun out of Derek’s pocket. He cuffs Derek to railing and takes Derek’s phone, calling the police and informing them of the plot, calling Derek a crazy piece of shit. He leaves him cuffed to the train.

Goodwin congratulates Rutledge on the success of the program. Rutledge tells her that they should wipe Stevens’ memory and keep him on ice until they need him again. Goodwin is horrified and asks about the deal they made. Rutledge tells her that Stevens may be the only viable candidate they have for Source Code and tells her to go celebrate. She complies but goes straight for Stevens’ body in the container. Rutledge is informed of Goodwin’s transgression and sends the military police after her.

He takes Derek’s phone and sends a text to Goodwin to let her know they succeeded. He calls his father and pretends to be a member of his unit in order to let his father know that he loved him very much. At peace, he knows he will only have 40 seconds with Christina. After giving a comedian 127 dollars to make everyone on the compartment laugh, Stevens asks her what she would do if she had less than a minute to live. She tells him she’d make every second count. He tells her he’d kiss her again and kisses her as time slows down capturing the compartment in a scene of joy.

Goodwin has unplugged Stevens’ life support and looks down at his corpse, which is missing everything below the waist and has wires and electrodes implanted in the brain. MPs break in as Rutledge screams at Goodwin to be arrested but they don’t follow through with it when they see Stevens’ corpse, disturbed at what they see being done to an American hero.
The frozen kiss between Stevens and Christina unfreezes. Stevens is surprised to see that he’s there past 8 minutes and realizes that he has effectively taken over Sean Fentress’ body. He and Christina get off at the next stop and begin walking around Chicago square, reaching a reflective monument. He pulls her close and the two walk off together. He realizes that he is in an entirely new timeline because of the changed events and smiles at having a second chance at life.

At the military base in the new timeline, Goodwin receives the text and reads the memory lines she programmed into Stevens. She is shocked and reads on to discover that they create new timelines when they activate Source Code. He tells her that one day, she’ll be forced to activate him and on that day she will need to help him. The scene ends with Goodwin looking over the body of the new timeline’s Colter Stevens awaiting activation for the next catastrophe.

The Twins of DEVS - Asia to Hollywood

DEV: Bass Down Low Original Soundtrack
THE WAKE UP TEXT
I woke up today...caught my mobile's light blinking. I grabbed my mobile and check out da probable missed calls or texts. I saw a text from ma homies in States - which goes 'Yo dude. Do you know theres an upcoming celeb named Dev? very much like you...haha. Just a year younger. Tat yer twin sis???!!!' With my eyes half opened and my mind still lingering somewhere in vegas... it didnt quite struck my head.

So later on the day, I recalled a this text and got on straight to Google!!! And there you go...DEV: Bass Down Low da album cover.

THE ICONIC DUO
Tell me if I'm wrong but what resembles me, or should I say 'resembles her' (none of us knew we existed in each side of the world) honestly would be:-

FACT FILE: DEV ANAND vs DEVIN TAILES
a) I had Pink on my profile pic. I supported Pink ribbon. I did a 'Y scared of Pink' title.
(she had Pink on her name on her album cover)
b) I had my shared password to devishot
(her website? http://www.devishot.com)
c) Stage name more or less: Slim or Dev
(closest it gets - DEV)

Overall she was a celebrity with record holdings. I'm not. I'm a just an upcoming socialite who hasnt left much effort sharpening his career in the entertainment industry. I'm slowly going into Devin Tailes and to know a lil more about my other half...*laughs*...

Anyhoo, here's a lil bout Dev, my twin sister:-

Devin Star Tailes (born July 2, 1989), better known by her stage name Dev, is an American recording artist. She was discovered by The Cataracs when she made an Amy Winehouse cover and posted it onto MySpace. Dev's song "Booty Bounce" was sampled in Far East Movement's hit single "Like a G6" which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and sold over two million downloads in the country. Dev was signed to Universal Republic in October 2010 and released her first official single, "Bass Down Low" in December. The song debuted at number ninety-four in the US. Dev's debut album The Night the Sun Came Up is set for an April 2011 release.

To know more about Dev - Google her. Search results will come out me as well though. So hit Devin Star Tailes.

You could check out BASS DOWN LOW that hit da charts. I one the other hand prefers HUSTLE LIKE A LADY a lil more cause of da tune http://www.youtube.com/user/DevVEVO. links to both the songs will be posted in the next couple of days.

DJ Michelle Rodriguez - LUST, Malaysia

Yes! You read it right! Michelle Rodriguez, da sleek chick from The Fast and the Furious frenzie is hitting da shores of Malaysia!!

A couple of days back, I found an email in my Inbox. I scratched my head but found about a notification invite to the launch of Lust Restaurant and Bar. I was keen on heading over to KL so I googled. Then I found that inda link somewhere below the email goes:-

The actress will be here on April 28 and 29 to witness the launch of Lust Restaurant and Bar in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. "We're bringing Michelle Rodriguez here as our guest," confirms a spokesperson from Lust. "She will make a special appearance at our official launch on April 28."

He adds that the Hollywood star will also play celebrity DJ by taking on the decks on April 29. The Daily Chilli got the first dip of info on Michelle last week, but had to contain our excitement until the deal was sealed.

So I went on like 'Not too bad eh!' In Malaysia! Of the Hollywood Celebs I've met, Rodriguez was never in my list of people I've met in person. But on and on, I ran through my schedule and I doubt my chance of flying down to KL, Malaysia is there. I am tied up with other events. a breath of disappointment! dang!!! The 33-year-old New Jersey beauty is one celeb I would chill with - apart from Jordana Brewster. oops...its Rodriguez we're focusing now!!!

Well if any of you has QUESTION MARKS in your mind, Michelle Rodriguez is known for her tough-chick roles in blockbuster movies like Fast and Furious, S.W.A.T, Avatar and Resident Evil. Michelle also made her mark in Hollywood by starring in the hit sci-fi TV series, Lost.

If any of you is wondering how to score and be there - hit me with a note =) I am glad to share this - knowing that I cant make it. uhhhh...!! I'm seriously utterly disappointed. But all ya peeps make sure you snatch this chance.
