Wierd Way Of Making Friends - But It Sure Is Worth It

Today I got down to Bendigo again myself. Not with Caitlyn, Marie, Elisho nor Skye but myself. Of course I can handle it myself. Everything was normal - d walking, chilling, window shopping n light shopping - till it was lunch time.

Lunch time in McDonalds again. Once again, something happened in this same old McDonald. I got myself a seat. Opposite me, was a group of teens. As soon as I lay my ass down on that seat, they were staring at me. Totally staring at me. Not blinking. No tilting. No movements. For a couple of seconds I thought I was just being too self concious. But then, I started to feel a little scared now. Not that any of them aussie teens seemed too friendly.

Then suddenly, those group stood up and started walking towards me. I was then starting to feel fear in me. What da heck am I to do? One girl came sitting next to me swinging her arms over the back of my seat while one boy sat opposite me, asking me if he could have some fries of mine; the rest jst stood staring. Now wouldnt that sorta attitude freak you out? Well it sure does to me.

As he swallowed MY fries, he said thank you. And asked if I'm an australian or not and they just ask some stuffs while I finally manage to gather some courage to ask them questions too. They soon introduced themselves and the got themselves meals; still sitting with me, the guy who ate my fries eventually told me that I could have his.

And so, we bacame friends and I was invited to their party. Said they were joking with me and they're not too much of a bully.

Weird? But yeah...I made some friends again.

The Party
The party on the following day wasnt too bad at all. It was held from 5pm till 10pm. Outside the building where they had their party, was a skateboard ring. Yepp..aussies skate while Malaysians are more of a breakdancing group. I cant do any breakdancing, but I can skate. They lend me their skateboards and I joined in. As the day drew darker, the party drew wilder. I tought the girls were gonna get drunk, wet and soon go naked but thankfully, its not to that extend. I wasnt inda mood for that that night. lol. Well after all those, I said see ya to them without asking for their contacts. It was once again a total shit as I once again did not ask for contacts. They eventually said see ya too without having my contact. But guess this aint a see ya as I'm not heading down to Bendigo alone again.

A Kindie Party

10th April 2006
I went to my friend's younger sister's Easter Party. I'm still in Australia here by the way. Chelsea..a four year old girl who was really adorable. I loved her at first glance and so has she been loving me because of all my jokes n craps that I do. But soon, I kinda felt bored, as she starts to stick to me almost every single second. With some help from Caitlyn, I manage to escape from little Chelsea once in a while.

So, on that night, I went to the party along with Caitlyn n her parents. Those kiddies around were all cute n adorable. Eventually, talking about adorable again, I was introduced to many little ones by Chelsea. Caitlyn gave me a pat n wishes me goodluck with all my jokes again. Well I manage to get a couple of kids to laugh though. The kindergarten teachers were all smilling to me; looking pleased and delighted.

Then, the events started. And soon did I realise that I was starting to feel cold. Bit by bit, I started to shiver. But it wasnt that bad at all, as soon, I began to forget that I was shivering when I was asked if I wanted to give a hand with d show. OH MY GOD...but sarcasm came from Caitlyn's mouth when she started chanting out loud followed by her parents - GO! Dev GO! - Do I have a choice? Yepp...OH MY GOD thats right. And so, I got up joining in singing, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star which sounds a lot like Nipple Nipple Little Star, Can I Suck You In My Car... and some kiddies songs which I have never heard of in my life.

As everything was over, yet again I had to bear the time having to sit next to Chelsea who's got lots to say to me about her friends, her school and stuffs like that. But it wasnt gonna be too bad after all when Caitlyn promised to hang out and show me around Swan Hill n Bendigo soon.

A Journey To Melbourne Alone

Today was the day I'm pretty much lookin forward to. Yepp..I'm heading down to Melbourne from Bendigo. Indeed it is not a short journey but it's a 2hour journey by train (like heading down from Penang to Kuala Lumpur). And yepp..besides the one where I travelled alone to Bendigo, this is my first ever longest trip down to a place in a foreign country ALONE. I'm gonna tell my story in a very detailed way but if you're a gettin a little bored, d last part of my trip back home wld probably interest you, as I've met a yet another girl.

Bendigo Train Station
The man, a friend of my parents, dropped me off in Bendigo Train Station. As soon as I was dropped off, they left. And so, I'm on my own. I went to the counter, asked abt my tickets and I sat there waiting. I wasnt gonna go for a ride on train but a bus as they're having a little problem on the train signals. So I guess, a 2hour journey is gonna be a 3hour journey instead. I got the bus. Then a Thai lady came sitting next to me. She smiled to me and so did I. D journey was ok. Talked to Andrew a little. Stopped in a couple of stations before making the last stop, South Cross Station, Melbourne.

South Cross Station
I was suppose to meet Andrew Wong n Nicholas Lye. But Andrew somehow made me walk from South Cross Station to Flinders Station, situated a about 5blocks down. Its was so easy but somehow, for a guy who lives there for months, cldnt even figure out a way like me. lol. As we all expected, Nicholas wasnt there yet. We were suppose to walk down to where he lives (andrew too) and then hang out together.

Nicky n Andrews Place
Andrew lead me to Nicky's place. Onda way, I stopped at Hungry Jacks to get a fish burger but sadly, I was told that I gotta wait for abt hlf an hr. At Nicky's place, he was half ready i assume as he only had he's undies on. But yet, he still opens the door n greets guests..or perhaps customers. lol. sorry Nicky. While waiting for him, Andrew showed me his room. Then we got back up waiting for Nicky. We talked.

A Little Walk While Figuring Out What To Do For The Day
We went for a short walk while figuring out what to do for the day. In the end, the first thing we decide to do was to eat. Yepp..we walked down to China Town n head in to a shop where Nicky was familiar with. The two of us got ourselves Seafood Fried Rice which was indeed 'bloody' expensive. 'Bloody' is d word I've learnt when I came here. lol. We eat n we talked.

Walking n Shopping
Seemingly, Melbourne is totally different from Penang. In this town, they're all shoplots everywhere. But in Penang, its more of a one tall building with a shoplots in it. Next we head on to Myer's. Some sort of shopping place where they have a varieties of stuff. We had a look on clothes, cds, games, players n stuffs like these. Then we went walking around the streets of Melbourne; entering almost every single shops on d street. Then we went to a sk8board shop where I wanted to get a board but it costs 3X the amount sold back in malaysia. And so I decide to get an ipod instead which was byfar, very much cheaper than in msia.

Beach n Babes for d Day
Well we had beach in mind. The beautiful scenery in mind. Beautiful scenery? Nah..not the babes. Erm..well you can say those are beautiful scenes not to be missed too. lol. N so, we head down to the beach on a tram. The beach wasnt crowded at all at that cloudy time of the day. And so, we walked around the area. The were stalls selling antiques, fragrance, chains, souvenirs n those that would paint portraits of you for a rather reasonable price. Back at the end of the beach was a family fun park. With a variety of rides but all seem to far little for a rather pricey fee.

Back to City
As we were gonna get the tram back, rain drops started to come down. Bit by bit it soon turns out that we need an umbrella to move. Back in Federation Square, we decide to head to another place with stalls n performance. Seems like all stalls in the corners of Melbourne sells rather similar stuffs, we decide to look for foOd instead.

Nicky Leaves - Andrew Stays
Nicky has appointments with his friends, and its more than enough of him to accompany me the whole day. I appreciate it, really. Or did he chose to come along himself? aha..well anyway, he heads home, while Andrew n I went to do a little shopping of souvenirs. Then we sat on a bench near d Library Park n talked n chatted abt our lifes for the pass few months.

South Cross Station - See ya soon, Melbourne.
Time to say goodbye too Andrew. I got on the tram myself to South Cross Station. As it was an hour early, I decide to look around the station. I went walking around. Up the escalators n down the escalators again. Then something caught my eye.

Meant to Be Friends?
I saw this group of teens; 2Guys 3Girls. Walking towards whereva I'm heading to. So I decide to walk too. I was infront of them. Then -like what I'd hope for but not what I've expected- eventually happened. One girl came infrnt of me shaking her booty infront of me while laughing. Another then came beside me n said 'Hi. What you doing inda middle of d night alone?'- and started talking while walking n soon, they left. Aww..shld I have asked for a contact? Well then I kept thinking n thinking that I should hv asked.

In The Train
I got in the train - Train back to Bendigo. I went searching for a good spot. Eventually the train wasnt really full nor packed. There were still lotsa empty seats not taken. Then as I was staring out of the window, one group of teens came talking n mumbling n sorta fighting over for seats n till everyone got their wanted seats, there was one standing n staring down at me. Looking puzzled at her, she finally blurt out - OHhh...my dear friend!- Me, still looking puzzled...do I even know this Aistralian? Her friends came staring n they teased, -'Ahh..her boyfriend.'- I finally figured out that she was d one i met in the dark lane outside South Cross a couple of minutes ago. Fate? Meant to be friends? Well this time, I certainly did ask for her contact n we eventually took pics. I made new friends today.

A Journey downtown to Bendigo, Australia

Pictures? Oopsie..i forgot to bring my camera along on this trip. But somehow, this was my first ever experience travelling downtown to Bendigo from Eaglewhawk, a place not known to me miles n miles away from my country, by bus..ALONE. Yepp.

The Bus Station
I walked down to the bus stop which seemed to be deserted at that moment as it was early. I sat there wondering what on earth am I to say to the bus driver when d bus arrives. N though I had about a number of clothes on, I somehow shivered. A couple of minutes later, a lady with her son, both rather fleshy, came sitting right up beside me. N so, being a foreigner, I decide to say hello. We chatted. Oblivious to my sorroundings, d bus soon arrived. I got up the bus, having no idea what to say, d kind lady gave me a help. She mumbled some words to the driver n there you go, I got my ticket.

Bendigo
I got down the town n made my way, inspecting every single shops there. I walked through round n round d town making sure I know d way back to the bus stop. N after about an hour walking, I decide to head down to the super mart..called, if I've not mistaken, BIG W. I was suppose to get this guy a pair of batteries. I had quite sometime sayin hello n at times meeting certain great ppl.

Lunch Time...McDonalds again?
Feeling a little hungry, I decide to go hunting for some coffee shops. But seems to me that all foods sold here are rather pricey n I've gotta save money for Sunday, the day I'm heading down to Melbourne with friends. And so, guess where I end up in? ahuh..u got it right, McDonalds. But sadly it wasnt any cheaper than othr shops. I got myself a seat. Opposite my seat, was a young, not bad looking girl; probably a little older than I am. I notice her staring at me every now n then. With a little courage in me, I manage to stand up and...

Some Australian Girl
...walk to her and eventually to my surprise after having a few lines with her, she invited me down for a seat. and so, we talked. but darn it...i should hv asked for her contact now shouldnt I? But well at least she knew of my existence in this world. lol. I wldnt hv been able to recognise her but I'm sure she will as there arent many of my type in Bendigo, Australia.

Time to go 'home'
I got on the right but eventually d freakin driver told me that I wasnt on d right bus. Guess I shldnt have told him d little lane where d house was situated. He stopped n I had to make my way back to the bustop again. This time, to my surpirse, I met d same lady n her son. We said hi again. Not wanting to disturb her, I decide to do d talking myself. I got up and I paid d fare. I got home without having to ask for the mans help. Why on earth wld I even need his help.
