A Journey To Melbourne Alone

Today was the day I'm pretty much lookin forward to. Yepp..I'm heading down to Melbourne from Bendigo. Indeed it is not a short journey but it's a 2hour journey by train (like heading down from Penang to Kuala Lumpur). And yepp..besides the one where I travelled alone to Bendigo, this is my first ever longest trip down to a place in a foreign country ALONE. I'm gonna tell my story in a very detailed way but if you're a gettin a little bored, d last part of my trip back home wld probably interest you, as I've met a yet another girl.

Bendigo Train Station
The man, a friend of my parents, dropped me off in Bendigo Train Station. As soon as I was dropped off, they left. And so, I'm on my own. I went to the counter, asked abt my tickets and I sat there waiting. I wasnt gonna go for a ride on train but a bus as they're having a little problem on the train signals. So I guess, a 2hour journey is gonna be a 3hour journey instead. I got the bus. Then a Thai lady came sitting next to me. She smiled to me and so did I. D journey was ok. Talked to Andrew a little. Stopped in a couple of stations before making the last stop, South Cross Station, Melbourne.

South Cross Station
I was suppose to meet Andrew Wong n Nicholas Lye. But Andrew somehow made me walk from South Cross Station to Flinders Station, situated a about 5blocks down. Its was so easy but somehow, for a guy who lives there for months, cldnt even figure out a way like me. lol. As we all expected, Nicholas wasnt there yet. We were suppose to walk down to where he lives (andrew too) and then hang out together.

Nicky n Andrews Place
Andrew lead me to Nicky's place. Onda way, I stopped at Hungry Jacks to get a fish burger but sadly, I was told that I gotta wait for abt hlf an hr. At Nicky's place, he was half ready i assume as he only had he's undies on. But yet, he still opens the door n greets guests..or perhaps customers. lol. sorry Nicky. While waiting for him, Andrew showed me his room. Then we got back up waiting for Nicky. We talked.

A Little Walk While Figuring Out What To Do For The Day
We went for a short walk while figuring out what to do for the day. In the end, the first thing we decide to do was to eat. Yepp..we walked down to China Town n head in to a shop where Nicky was familiar with. The two of us got ourselves Seafood Fried Rice which was indeed 'bloody' expensive. 'Bloody' is d word I've learnt when I came here. lol. We eat n we talked.

Walking n Shopping
Seemingly, Melbourne is totally different from Penang. In this town, they're all shoplots everywhere. But in Penang, its more of a one tall building with a shoplots in it. Next we head on to Myer's. Some sort of shopping place where they have a varieties of stuff. We had a look on clothes, cds, games, players n stuffs like these. Then we went walking around the streets of Melbourne; entering almost every single shops on d street. Then we went to a sk8board shop where I wanted to get a board but it costs 3X the amount sold back in malaysia. And so I decide to get an ipod instead which was byfar, very much cheaper than in msia.

Beach n Babes for d Day
Well we had beach in mind. The beautiful scenery in mind. Beautiful scenery? Nah..not the babes. Erm..well you can say those are beautiful scenes not to be missed too. lol. N so, we head down to the beach on a tram. The beach wasnt crowded at all at that cloudy time of the day. And so, we walked around the area. The were stalls selling antiques, fragrance, chains, souvenirs n those that would paint portraits of you for a rather reasonable price. Back at the end of the beach was a family fun park. With a variety of rides but all seem to far little for a rather pricey fee.

Back to City
As we were gonna get the tram back, rain drops started to come down. Bit by bit it soon turns out that we need an umbrella to move. Back in Federation Square, we decide to head to another place with stalls n performance. Seems like all stalls in the corners of Melbourne sells rather similar stuffs, we decide to look for foOd instead.

Nicky Leaves - Andrew Stays
Nicky has appointments with his friends, and its more than enough of him to accompany me the whole day. I appreciate it, really. Or did he chose to come along himself? aha..well anyway, he heads home, while Andrew n I went to do a little shopping of souvenirs. Then we sat on a bench near d Library Park n talked n chatted abt our lifes for the pass few months.

South Cross Station - See ya soon, Melbourne.
Time to say goodbye too Andrew. I got on the tram myself to South Cross Station. As it was an hour early, I decide to look around the station. I went walking around. Up the escalators n down the escalators again. Then something caught my eye.

Meant to Be Friends?
I saw this group of teens; 2Guys 3Girls. Walking towards whereva I'm heading to. So I decide to walk too. I was infront of them. Then -like what I'd hope for but not what I've expected- eventually happened. One girl came infrnt of me shaking her booty infront of me while laughing. Another then came beside me n said 'Hi. What you doing inda middle of d night alone?'- and started talking while walking n soon, they left. Aww..shld I have asked for a contact? Well then I kept thinking n thinking that I should hv asked.

In The Train
I got in the train - Train back to Bendigo. I went searching for a good spot. Eventually the train wasnt really full nor packed. There were still lotsa empty seats not taken. Then as I was staring out of the window, one group of teens came talking n mumbling n sorta fighting over for seats n till everyone got their wanted seats, there was one standing n staring down at me. Looking puzzled at her, she finally blurt out - OHhh...my dear friend!- Me, still looking puzzled...do I even know this Aistralian? Her friends came staring n they teased, -'Ahh..her boyfriend.'- I finally figured out that she was d one i met in the dark lane outside South Cross a couple of minutes ago. Fate? Meant to be friends? Well this time, I certainly did ask for her contact n we eventually took pics. I made new friends today.
